ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Ask your student to read a section of a text with you and then prompt them to make connections from the text to their own life, the world or another text.

Ask the student how these connections helped them to understand the characters or events better.

Encourage the student to make inferences about how the character might feel in their text based on their connections.
