From the President

David Mazengarb

Dear Old Virgilians,

We acknowledge the efforts and results of all students and the academic staff at the close of the calendar year. We are proud of the achievements of all our students and wish all school leavers the very best for the future and as OVA members.

This year was a milestone when Year 11 returned to the College for the first time.  The OVA has always encouraged the return of Years 11 and 12 to St Virgils College as a critical pathway for college students.

We look forward to next year when Year 12 returns and are encouraged by the support and commitment of the College in moving to offer Year 12 for the first time in 30 years.

I take this opportunity to thank all my fellow Committee Members for their unselfish commitment during the last 12 months.  We have commenced a process of engagement with both the College and OVA members to make a difference to past, current and future students of the college.

I am pleased of the support of College Principal Jon Franzin throughout the year. I have previously indicated the initiatives we are driving towards and continue to seek the input of all OVA members.

In closing for the year I wish all a happy and safe Christmas with their family, friends and loved ones.

The OVA is looking forward to an exciting 12 months ahead.

Bish wishes

David
