We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents and carers who attended the recent Student Support Group (SSG) meetings. Your participation is crucial in fostering positive relationships that best support our students' success and well-being. Together, we can continue to create an encouraging and collaborative environment for every child. Your commitment and support truly make a difference!
Ceres Primary School is excited to participate in R U OK? Day on September 12th, 2024. This national initiative focuses on encouraging everyone to stay connected and have conversations that can help others through difficult times.
On R U OK? Day, our students will dress up in yellow (bring a gold coin!) and engage with activities designed to help them ‘choose their own journey’ as they navigate feelings and choices during R U OK? conversations. These valuable tasks are more than just a learning experience; they are an essential life lesson that teaches children how to support their peers and talk about their emotions.
At its core, R U OK? is about empowering help-givers – those who can make a difference through a meaningful conversation. By fostering these skills in our students, we are contributing to a more connected and supportive school community.
Please support us in this vital initiative by encouraging your children to be open and caring toward their friends and classmates. A simple "Are you OK?" can open the door to a life-changing conversation.
Thank you for helping us create a supportive and connected environment at Ceres Primary School.
As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Ceres Primary School for providing us the opportunity to complete our Third Year Occupational Therapy placement at your school.
Our experience at Ceres over the past seven weeks has been immensely valuable. We have greatly appreciated the chance to collaborate with the staff on brain break activities and to support students across a diverse range of activities within the school environment.
All the students we have worked with have shown kindness, best effort and resilience in every session we have completed and have made significant improvements which has been due to their hard work. They should all be very proud of their achievements and should strive to continue to work on their goals.
We hope that our contributions through this newsletter have been both informative and beneficial. We wish all students continued success for the remainder of the school year.
Goodbye from,
Skye and Lily!
