What an amazing Week we had last week celebrating the magic of books. A huge shout out to the Curriculum Team - Miss Willis, Miss Kinnear, Miss Petzke and Mrs Deppler for putting together fun activities themed around Book Week. Our parade on Thursday, run by our Grade 6 leaders was a wonderful display of characters such as the Bin Chicken, Harry Potter(s), Hedwig the owl, Claudia from the Baby Sitter's Club, Silver Twitch and a troupe from the Wizard of Oz! Please see the Classroom Celebrations Page for photos and additional information.
A few new resources have been purchased in the last few weeks to add to the Maths Tubs in classrooms for Measurement and as teaching tools for Number, Fractions and Decimals and Counting.
We have also purchased some small group sets of Decodable Readers to add to the range of texts teachers can select when teaching in small groups for Reading. A big thank you to Chelsea and Sophie Maginn for contacting the covers of these books so that they can be enjoyed by our students and remain in good condition.
Hi Ceres Families! My book recommendation for the Premier's Reading Challenge is 'Who Sank the Boat?' by Pamela Allen. This engaging book encourages young readers to make prediction of which animal they think may have sunk the boat. It is a great read for the whole family to experience together!
Enjoy Readers!

Don't forget to log your books for the Challenge! The Challenge ends on September 6 - next Friday! Students will receive their certificates in October for completing the challenge but they must have logged the required amount of books.
