Is Your Driveway Ready for Emergency Services?

FN Golden Bay has been spreading the word for the Fire Brigade, and their advice is relevant nationwide. It's essential to ensure your driveway is at least 4 x 4 metres—if emergency services can’t reach you, they can’t help you.

For those in rural areas, make sure your property is clearly signposted with your Rural Address Property Identification (RAPID) number. Fire appliances are larger and heavier than other emergency vehicles, so poor access can lead to delays. This can directly impact the safety of occupants and the protection of property, as every second counts when responding to a fire.
