From the Principal

We would like to acknowledge the original custodians of this land

and waterways and pay our respects to the Elders past and

present and emerging, for they hold the memories, the traditions,

the culture and hopes of Indigenous Australia.

In Faith we will show..... Respect, Empathy, Inclusion, Excellence!

Learning Support Officers and Administration Officers

This week we celebrated the work that our dedicated and compassionate staff carry out each day.  They embrace their daily tasks professionally and assist teachers in the smooth running of special programs or activities that operate at grade levels or throughout the whole school. The office work is always in abundance with every day never knowing what it will bring. The staff demonstrate duty of care to students in relation to their physical and mental wellbeing by meeting the needs of all students. St Anthony's School is extremely fortunate to have this important group centered at the heart of the school. Thank you Mrs Kathy Sansalone, Mrs Liz Martello, Mrs Jo Kirkham, Mrs Tracey Birthisel, Ms Luisa Henderson, Mrs Vesna Simic and Mrs Carla Whitfield.

Play Equipment Connecting Blocks

The children are having so much fun during their time outside as they busily create bigger and better houses, tunnels etc.  Thank you to the PFA who have made playtime and lunchtime fun.

Fathers' Day Stall and  Breakfast

I find it intriguing that Father's Day is celebrated on different dates and in different ways across the world. At St Anthony's we always celebrate it with great vigor and enthusiasm and upkeeping the traditions well and truly alive with our wonderful community.

It was so pleasing to have so many children at school early with their dads or special person enjoying the breakfast that looked delicious.

The children also enjoyed the opportunity to purchase their special gifts which they could give with great pride and pleasure.

Our thanks go out to the PFA and the wonderful Years 5&6  parents especially, Rosaline and Monika as well as all their helpers Linda, Kate, Naobh, Nat, Kath, Anakin and Grace who got the Padua all organised on the morning of the breakfast.

School Production Raffle

An opportunity to have a raffle is never missed and one will be held on the night of the School Production.  We are aiming to have fantastic hamper prizes for three lucky people attending to win.  We are seeking donations towards the prizes to be dropped off at the school office by next Wednesday.  Tickets will be sent home next week for you to purchase and bring back to school, and will also be sold by members of the PFA at the door on the night.

School Hats

We ask that the children bring their sunhats to school once more so that they can be protected against the UV when the sun is out for the remainder of this term. In Term Four it is compulsory for hats to be work every day.

MACSSIS Surveys

All families will receive an email inviting from MACS ORIMA Research to take part in the annual survey. Participating families will be emailed a code and PIN to access the survey platform.  These surveys allow parents the opportunity to answer the questionnaire  into school performance and culture.

Footy Fun Day

The last day of school, Friday 13 September,  is our usual Footy Fun Day where everyone is encouraged and welcomed to come to school wearing the colours of your favourite football team.  All codes are welcome.

Yours sincerely
