Our Grade 3/4 students recently had a ball at the Hooptime tournament held at the Nunawading Basketball Stadium! The excitement was palpable as our young athletes took to the court to showcase their basketball skills.
Dressed in our school colours, the students formed teams brimming with enthusiasm and sportsmanship. They cheered each other on, learned from their games, and had an absolute blast playing against other schools. The atmosphere was electric, filled with the sound of bouncing balls, cheering crowds, and the thrill of competition. Well done to every student who participated in the event with each having varying ability and basketball knowledge. A huge thank you to Briony, Danny, Dave, Justin, Amy, Will, and Jess for coming along to coach and manage each of our teams, the day was possible because of your help.
On Thursday, our school transformed into a vibrant hub of athleticism and camaraderie as we celebrated our annual Whole School House Athletics Day.
The rain stayed away as our Grade 3-6 students showcased their talents in a range of athletic events. The competitive spirit was high as students vied for spots on our district team, which will be competing later this month. We wish our representatives all the best!
Meanwhile, our Prep to Grade 2 students had a fantastic time participating in fun-filled games and activities on the oval. Their laughter and energy were contagious, making the day even more enjoyable for everyone. The Prep Buddy Lap of Honour was a highlight, as our youngest students ran with their buddies.
A huge thank you to our dedicated teachers and volunteers for their tireless efforts in organising and running the event. Your support made Athletics Day a resounding success!
We look forward to cheering on our district team and continuing to foster a love of sport and physical activity within our school community.
