Dear Parents and Caregivers,
I write to inform you that during my renewal leave absence (which starts next week), Mr Peter Buxton will be the Acting Principal across the K-12 site at De La Salle College and Our Lady of Fatima Primary School. Mr Buxton is very excited about working with Mrs Gordon who will continue in her role as AP. She will support Mr Buxton in leading the school and in maintaining continuity and consistency. The School Leadership team will also work closely in partnership to ensure the smooth running of the school and that the students' needs are met.
Mr Buxton is an experienced educator with a passion for fostering a positive learning environment. He has been a very real presence at our school over the last few years and is well acquainted with our school’s values and goals. I am sure you will make him feel welcome and enjoy connecting with him when you can during my 6 week absence.
As I prepare for my renewal leave I am grateful for the opportunity to rest and reflect. I look forward to coming back in Term 4 Week 3 with renewed energy, equipped with new and innovative ideas that will enhance the culture and learning that takes place here at Our Lady of Fatima.
As we prepare to say goodbye to winter and welcome in the season of spring let us look with hope and optimism at the sense of warmth, joy, colour and new life that this season brings.
As everyone continues to work hard towards achieving their goals and being the best version of themselves I pray that we all feel a sense of pride, purpose and success in what we all do!
Dear Lord,
We pray for this generation of young children today,
Shine your truth into their hearts.
May they hear you in music, see you in art and experience you through the love and care of family, friends and teachers.
Build your hope into their lives.
May they feel this hope in their hearts as they encounter the power of nature, the majesty of the oceans and the beauty in creation.
Come sow your wisdom into their minds.
May they discover wisdom as they learn to read, explore and discover their world.
Come weave your love into their dreams.
May they find vision in what interests them and opportunities for their talents and abilities to share with others.
May our young children get to know the love you have for them and trust in your guiding ways.
We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
