Maths in action!

Over the past few weeks, Year 1/2 students have been learning about multiplication and division. There has been a focus on providing students with hands on, real life situations to practice making and sharing between groups. The use of books such as "The doorbell rang" and "Bean Thirteen" help students apply their skills in a range of situations.

Upcoming events:

We are so excited about our upcoming excursion to Lake Wendouree to meet Steve Moneghetti. In Humanities, students have written letters and drawn pictures to give to Steve on the day. Students have been using their knowledge about the Olympics to help prepare for the excursion.

We are also very much looking forward to the swimming program next term. Thank you to families for returning the permission slips so quickly as this will help the organisation of the program and help it to run as smoothly as possible.
