General Information
While good school attendance is always promoted and encouraged at St Joseph's, the health and safety of all is our first priority. If children are not well, they need time to recuperate and rest at home.
Please notify the school office via SIMON Everywhere/PAM, by telephone or email on the day your child is absent. Parents will be contacted if their child has an 'unexplained absence'. We ask for your support regarding this important requirement.
If your child is not well please keep them at home. It is not fair to expect a child who is unwell to participate in learning activities and we are also conscious of them spreading their illness throughout the class.
If your child requires medication at school a 'Medication Authority Form' needs to be completed and sent to the office. The medication should be in the original container with the pharmacist label.
All medication is dispensed through the office and is signed off on a medication register. If the appropriate permission is not sent with the medication it cannot be given to the student. It is also a good idea to mention to the student’s teacher that there is medication at the office and what time it is to be given.
Please ensure all your family contact details are up-to-date, including contact phone numbers, residential, postal addresses as well as email addresses. We also require your nominated emergency contact details to be current and up-to-date.
Please inform the office if you have any changes.
If your child's Medical details have changed, please ensure all relevant information is updated through the app. SIMON Everywhere and notify the school office.
Families are asked to access PAM through the SIMON Everywhere App to submit absence notifications and give permission to attend school events/activities. Going forward, information relating to calendar events, daily messages and school notices will also be available on this app.
Please 'like' our FB page to keep up-to-date with what is going on at St Joseph's.
Parents are reminded not to respond to the SMS sent by the school for unexplained absences, as it is an automated system notice.

Statements for school fees & levies are emailed to families. Please check your statement and contact the office if you have any questions.
It is expected that all school fees and levies are finalised by the start of December.
The school provides a variety of options for payment of school fees and levies - in full at the start of the school year / part payment at the start of each school term / by direct debit – weekly, fortnightly, or monthly / by direct payment into the school bank account or by regular payments at the school office by cash or EFTPOS. You can even pay over the phone if you wish.
It is important that payment of school fees and levies are honoured and prompt payment is much appreciated. However, if you are experiencing difficulty meeting your obligation for payment, please contact the school to arrange a time to discuss this with the Principal, Mr Peter Teggelove.
SCHOOL FEE PAYMENTS
Direct debit forms are available at the school office if families would still like to set up a direct debit. School fees can also be paid in full, per term, by EFTPOS in the office or over the phone, by direct credit (see bank account details above or on your monthly statement).
Should any of our families be experiencing financial difficulty and hardship please contact Peter Teggelove by calling the school or by email to make an appointment: principal@sjquarryhill.catholic.edu.au
We really value all parent/carer participation in a variety of ways across the school. In order to
enable you to do this you must provide a current Working With Children Check. The WWCC is free for volunteers. We ask that all parents, grandparents, friends and carers who assist at the school apply for the WWCC at www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au
or telephone the information line on 1300 652 879. If you need assistance with this, please come into the office. The school will also need a copy of your WWCC when it has been issued.
School students are expected to wear the school summer uniform (with hats) in Terms 1 and 4 and the winter uniform in Terms 2 and 3.
Centavic Clothing in Long Gully supply the uniforms for St Joseph's. Online and instore ordering is available.
St Joseph’s Primary School operates a Second Hand Uniform Shop which offers preloved uniforms in good condition. All clothes are sorted and washed. Funds are then used to support our St Joseph’s families in times of need. If you are interested in making a donation or purchasing, please visit the office during school hours.
