Muresk / Dowerin Excursion

What a great three days the students and staff had on the Muresk/Dowerin Excursion.

On Monday and Tuesday, the Farm Focus and Trade Focus students went their separate ways during the day and then met at Muresk each night.

Mr Truss and myself had the privilege of taking the Trade Focus students on their two days of industry tours:

Monday started with Murray Engineering, followed by Ausplow and Komatsu.

Tuesday, we visited AFGRI Northam, then headed back down to Forrestfield to tour Bruce Rock Engineering.  We finished the day with a visit to the Construction Futures Centre in Belmont.

On Wednesday, all the students attended Dowerin Field Day and had the opportunity to follow up with some businesses and industries they had visited the day before. It was a great day, and the students are to be commended for their behaviour and the positive way they presented themselves. The College has received positive feedback from various sources -well done, everyone!

The music playlists and ‘sing-along’ on the Trade bus were a highlight. Thanks everyone, it was a memorable trip!
