An enormous thank you to the students and staff who went away to Muresk/Dowerin at the beginning of the week. It was a big undertaking by the staff involved to give up three days and two nights to take the students away and I commend them again for their commitment.

The students were an absolute credit to themselves and the College, with excellent feedback received about their interest and behaviour from various sources.

Final Round of Offers for 2025

This week, we emailed the final round of offers for 2025 entry into the College.  I would like to thank the enrolments team for their dedication in completing all the interviews over the past six months. We have interviewed over 180 amazing students who are dedicated, hard-working and responsible young citizens. A big thank you to all the parents who took the time to bring in their children and support them through the enrolment and interview process.

Unfortunately, there are a finite number of places available at the College, and therefore, there were over a hundred applicants who were not offered a place. Those that were offered places were able to very clearly demonstrate their career pathways into agriculture, related trades or rural industry, along with a desire to give back to their community. They were able to clearly illustrate how WACoA Harvey fitted within that pathway and would enable them to reach their goals both academically and socially.

I realise that those who did not receive an offer will be disappointed, but I wish to reassure them that this does not reflect badly on them or mean that they are not worthy. All of the students we interviewed are a credit to themselves and their families with their myriad of achievements so far. I hope that many of them will continue their efforts in school and agricultural pursuits, so if they re-apply for 2026, they can pick up a few extra points to possibly gain an offer of a placement.

What's Coming Next

Exciting times are ahead in the last few weeks of term as we get ready for all the events and activities at the Perth Royal Show and the Year 12s finalise their studies as they complete their schooling at the end of the term.
