Wellbeing
Dear Parents and Carers,
We are excited to invite you to our upcoming Wellbeing Night at Galilee, where we will explore essential aspects of our children's emotional and social development. This informative and engaging evening will focus on key topics such as: emotional regulation, worry journaling, and understanding your child's unique play style.
During this session, you will discover practical tools to help manage everyday challenges, balance emotions, and gain a deeper understanding of childrens’ behaviour. These insights are designed to empower you with strategies that are not only effective at home but also align with the approaches we use here at Galilee to foster mindful and supportive environments for our children.
Our dedicated staff will share how we incorporate these strategies into our daily practices, helping to build resilience, self-awareness, and a strong sense of wellbeing among our students. Whether you are looking to better manage stress, connect more meaningfully with your child, or simply learn more about the foundations of their emotional growth, this evening will provide valuable insights and actionable advice.
Event Details:
Date: Term 4, Week 5 - Thursday, November 7th

Wellbeing Hub Update - Over 500 visits!
We had to share the great news that we have just hit over 500 visits at the Wellbeing Hub!
Located on our top floor, in the old building, the Wellbeing Hub is a dedicated space where children can find comfort, solace, and support as they navigate the ups and downs of growing up. Here, they will have access to a variety of resources and activities carefully curated to promote self-regulation, relaxation, and the sharing of worries in a safe and nurturing environment. The Hub is serviced by a variety of staff members throughout the day and children are welcomed to join the space for 10 minutes, with the use of personal timers, to gain the support they need before returning to their classrooms.
To celebrate this wonderful milestone, we interviewed a few students to get their perspective on the Hub and how they use it.
Year 6 student - “Things can be hard some days, for lots of reasons. I like that I can go for a few minutes to relax and speak to someone if I need to.”
Year 6 student - “ When you’re in the Hub you can be yourself and you don’t have to worry about anything”.
Year 5 student - “It's a place you can go if you feel unsure, worried or sad and there is always someone there to help you feel better.”
Year 5 student - “When I feel overwhelmed and need a break, I can come to the Hub to feel relaxed again so I can do my work.”
Year 4 student - “The Wellbeing Hub is a calm and quiet space that anyone can access if they need a break to regulate their emotions and body.”
Year 3 student - “It's a really calming place where you can use lots of different tools to calm down.”
Year 3 student - “I like that it helps you to feel more brave and helps you to get through the day.”
Year 2 student - “It is a very cool place and I like it because it makes me feel happy because I can talk about what is happening with a teacher.”
Year 1 student - “ I like reading the feelings books because they help me feel better when I am feeling sad.”
Prep student - “I love it because it helps me to feel calm.”
Staff Member - "The Hub is a space where students can express their feelings in a safe, judgement-free environment. After spending 10 minutes there, they return to class better able to focus on their work because their emotional well-being has been addressed."
Staff Member - “The Hub is a truly invaluable resource for our children—a safe space where they can be themselves, free from judgement or expectations. It’s always available, offering immediate and confidential support whenever they need it.”
We remain committed to enhancing our services with a focus on the health and wellbeing of every student. As we move forward, our priority will continue to be creating a supportive environment that fosters growth, wellness, and success for all.
