2025 Year 7 and New Students Information Evening

A reminder that St Norbert College will be hosting the Year 7 (2025) and New Students Information Evening on Thursday, September 5. This evening is crucial for students and families beginning their journey with us in 2025 providing important details about our transition program.

We request that both students and at least one parent or carer attend this event, which will start at 6:00 PM in the Fr Peter O’Reilly Centre. The evening will begin with an introductory session for the whole group, followed by smaller, informal breakout sessions. These sessions will provide more personalised presentations and discussions about what students can anticipate in the upcoming school year and how they can best prepare for a smooth transition.

We look forward to welcoming you and providing all the necessary information to ensure a successful start at St Norbert College in 2025.

Parent Seminar Survey

A huge thank you to all the parents who were able to respond to our Parent Seminar Survey. We really do appreciate your time and efforts to stay engaged with the school and your involvement in building better relationships with your children.

We wanted to keep all options open to enable parents to freely comment on issues that they feel are important to their families and community and the responses that we have received have been quite motivating. The standout issues that parents seem to be concerned with most were Cyber Awareness – from use of devices, technology and social media platforms, and also Mental Health concerns – how to handle bullying, develop positive friendships and building resilience in our kids. There was also interest in many other very valid areas including the child's physical well-being (eating healthy, quality sleep), how to teach/encourage your child to be responsible, helping them to manage their finances, supporting good study techniques, supporting and dealing with drugs/alcohol pressures - Parents were very thoughtful with their input and suggestions.

With this feedback in mind, we will certainly do our best throughout the years to introduce seminars that will compliment your parenting skills and help us to grow our children into kind, strong, independent young adults and we always appreciate your support and feedback.

Congratulations to Gellienia Yape and Natalie whose names were drawn from Parent Seminar Survey and won a $50 gift voucher.
