As we reach the halfway point through another eventful term, our school community has much to look back on with pride and joy. From birthdays and theatrical triumphs to memorable excursions and creative dress-up days, it's been a term filled with excitement and growth.

A big birthday cheer for Esther Barrett-Lennard, Tiffany Butterworth, Matilda Norrish, Wayahpo Manolis, Isabella Sprigg, Mariella Somerscales, Dannielle Frost, Tyla Climie, and Holly Cole - we hope each of you had a fantastic time. Your contributions to our school community are deeply appreciated, and we’re glad to have had the chance to celebrate you.
School Production Success: A Star in the Spotlight
This term’s school production Beyond the MusicalVerse was nothing short of spectacular. The entire cast and crew did an incredible job, but a special mention must go to Lily Quick, whose performances left the audience in awe. Her exceptional talent in acting, singing, and dancing brought the production to life, making it an unforgettable experience for everyone who attended. Lily’s dedication and passion shone through, making her a true star of the show.
Year Ten Work Experience: Building Bright Futures
Year Ten students have had the unique opportunity to step into the world of work through their work experience placements. Many chose to explore careers in childcare, while others ventured into diverse fields such as horse studs, physiotherapy clinics, and police stations. This experience provided valuable insights into potential career paths, helping students gain a better understanding of their future aspirations.
Music Magic: Radioactive Concert
Another highlight of the term was the impressive Radioactive concert at the Albany Entertainment Centre. Five of our talented Breaksea students, Emmeline Cunningham, Rif McNeill-Hanna, Sophie Harris, Holly Cole, and Brianna Cunningham took to the stage and wowed the audience with their musical talents. Their performances were a testament to the countless hours of rehearsal and dedication they put in, and they truly shone on stage. A round of applause to each of you for your hard work and for representing our school so brilliantly.
Dressing Up for Fun: Mokare Day and Book Week
This term saw students getting creative for Mokare Day and Book Week Dress Up. The enthusiasm was evident as students came to school in a dazzling array of costumes. From cultural attire to favourite literary characters, the creativity on display was truly impressive. These events highlighted the school’s vibrant spirit and brought an extra layer of fun to our days.
Adventures: Castle Road & Cheynes Beach
Our outdoor excursions this term were filled with adventure and discovery. The hike up Castle Rock was a standout, especially when the group encountered a massive tiger snake, a thrilling moment that added to the excitement of the day. The trip to Cheynes Beach was equally memorable, with students being treated to a spectacular show by whales, making the day even more special. These experiences not only allowed us to connect with nature but also created lasting memories with friends.
Looking After Yourself During Assessment Time
As assessment time ramps up, it’s crucial to remember the importance of self-care. Make sure to stay hydrated, nourish your body with good nutrition, get plenty of sleep, and move your body when feeling stressed. Implementing relaxation techniques can help calm your nervous system and keep you focused. Remember, we’ve got this!
As we close out this term, let’s carry forward the lessons learned, the friendships strengthened, and the memories made. Here's to a successful finish to Term Three.
