SPANISH NEWS

¡Hola! We would like to extend a sincere thank you to everyone who contributed to our recent event learning about Arepas. The students thoroughly enjoyed themselves and gained valuable insights into Venezuelan culture, thanks to Joize, Mia, and Miranda. It was a meaningful experience that broadened their understanding of different traditions.

Students in Grade 1 and 2 have successfully finished their craft activity based on the book ¿A qué sabe la luna? It was wonderful to see their creativity come to life as they explored the story in such a hands-on way.

We also appreciate the teachers who brought their classes to participate, and everyone who helped make this event possible. Your support is greatly valued in creating a memorable day for our students.

Thank you for being such a supportive community.

LIBRARY NEWS

Library volunteer wanted

If you have time to come in during the school day to cover books and help keep our library tidy and orderly, we would love your help.

We have been so lucky to have the wonderful Adeline (Abby and Austin's mum) giving her time for the last couple of years. Thank you, Adeline, for all your effort. You have kept our library running smoothly and have been a lovely friendly face for our students when visiting the library. Your passion for books and reading is to be admired.

If you would like to volunteer, we are looking for someone who is able to come into the library for a few hours a week, please email me to let me know: lisa.breen@education.vic.gov.au.

Kym and I can arrange a time to show you how to cover books, our library computer system and how we arrange our library catalogue. Please note, you need a current working with children check.
