This week in Personal and Social Capabilities we are learning to recognise that breathing can help us to be mindful or when we feel worried.


VOCABULARY

Mindfulness - a type of meditation in which you focus on being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment. 

Worried - feeling trouble or anxiety about something that might happen.


ACTIVITIES YOU CAN DO AT HOME TO SUPPORT YOUR CHILD'S LEARNING

Discuss with your child things that worry them. Talk about how we can practise breathing and minfulness when we are feeling worried. Practise box breathing with your child.
