Radio Active

It was a pleasure to be at the Radio Active performance last Friday evening. Students from Great Southern Grammar and Albany Senior High School wowed the audience with support from WAAPA students with an array of songs. These included Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel, Girls on Film by Duran Duran, Peg by Steely Dan, this featured Maddie Marsh (2019, Baudin) on back-up vocals, Message in a Bottle by The Police and Could You Be Loved by Bob Marley.

The final WAAPA set featured Thriller by Michael Jackson and Don’t Let the Sun Go Down On Me by George Michael and Elton John.

It was fabulous to see all the collaborations on stage; there was dynamic musicianship on display! It demonstrated that Albany really is a musical hub of creativity.
