World Teacher Day

Teachers and staff were overwhelmingly blessed by our generous families providing an abundance of delicious food, as well as beautiful cards, drawings and messages for our celebration of World Teacher’s Day yesterday. Staff were treated to a wonderful morning tea as well as lunch, with plenty of leftovers to enjoy again today. They were so grateful for this provision and practical way of being thanked for all that they do in serving at our college in teaching and caring for the students.

A very big thank you to all of you who contributed, as well as the Parents and Friends group helpers who worked tirelessly throughout the day setting up in the staff room and cleaning up after. Containers and platters are available for collection from the main office.

Twilight Open Night

On Tuesday 17 October, we will hold our Twilight Open Evening from 4:30-7pm. If you have a child moving to a different area of the college next year (such as kinder to Prep, or Year 6 to Secondary) and would like to come along to a tour, this is a great opportunity to do so. Please register here: Book a Tour - Plenty Valley Christian College - Private Christian School Melbourne (pvcc.vic.edu.au)

Year 12 final weeks

With our Year 12 cohort approaching their final exams, next week will be their final week of classes and celebrations. In recent weeks, our Prep classes have been involved in encouraging them and blessing them at this pivotal time. A special blessing assembly was held on the last day of Term 3, where Prep students presented each Year 12 student with a card of prayer and encouragement for their upcoming exams, and sang a beautiful song “The Blessing” over them!

It was a personal and moving gesture for the Year 12 students at this point in their studies. Primary teachers Mrs Naccari and Mr Gillie also shared words of encouragement and wisdom for this cohort, whom they taught in their Prep and Year 6 years.

The Prep students also baked chocolate chip cookies for the Year 12 students to help them student for their exams and presented them to students at the Year 12 Common Room yesterday.

As a college, we are praying for them as they prepare for their upcoming final exams.

Maker Day

Still reeling off the back of the wonderful Heart of the Valley, primary students will be enjoying another standout annual event on Wednesday 18 October.

Maker Day is an opportunity for our students to enjoy a whole day of designing, creating, strategizing, and collaborating with other children within each sub-school, participating in 3 different rotations across the day.

(Maker Day is a regular uniform day)

We look forward to seeing your child's creativity shine!
