College Captains' Report

Four weeks in, six to go. Just like that, we are almost halfway done with term 4!

Since we last checked in, we have had lots of amazing things going on.

The 2024 Year 7 Information Night was an amazing first taste of high school for our future students. The Year Level Captains spoke about their experiences at Beaumaris, and we had a great time talking to parents and students, getting to know them and answering questions. We are so excited to welcome all the families into our school on Tuesday 12 December for Orientation Day.

We also had 11 amazing athletes compete in the State Athletics Championships on 16 October. This included two amazing relay teams who competed, Year 7 Girls and Year 8 Boys. Congratulations to all competitors! Every single one of you did Beaumaris Proud.

Last week was Mental Health Awareness week, and Beaumaris spread love and support through lots of fun activities and snacks, such as an odd sock parade, fairy bread lunch, and origami. This is also a friendly reminder to check in on your friends, and speak to our school counsellors or teachers if things are getting tough.

Finally, on behalf of the Beaumaris community I would like to congratulate our amazing Year 12's on their graduation, and completion of their first exam. Many Year 12 students completed their first exam on Tuesday 24 October, which was English/EAL. We wish them all luck going into their next exams.
