Pizza Baking

We start our cooking and gardening news with the last day of Term 3. On Footy day we baked pizzas and potato chips for the whole school. Needless to say everyone would have loved another piece. A big thank you to Ms Whitfield for her help on the day.

This week in the garden

Year 1/2 enjoyed a warm and sunny gardening session on Wednesday. They watered the garden, dug out those annoying onion weeds and planted carrot and beetroot seeds.

But just the next day, Melbourne changeable spring weather turned wet and cold. Preps managed to plant beetroot seed before another round of showers. That in turn was a perfect opportunity to pick the slimy creatures from our garden beds and relocate them far, far away from our plants. Students also learned that snails carry their houses on their backs while slugs don’t have one.
