Year 5 Ski Camp

From Hayley, Year 5 Teacher

Last week we finally embarked on our well anticipated Ski Camp at Falls Creek.

We arrived to blue skies and snow capped mountains. We got straight into our snow gear and headed up the ski lift to the top of the mountain where we had our first ski lesson. We were slipping and sliding away, but in no time at all, a lot of us were ready to start skiing down the slopes! (Inara won a ski race against Hayley and earned her group hot chocolates)!

In our down time, we enjoyed bored games cosied up with our cabin mates and shared a camp movie with our entire group.

On Tuesday and Friday morning we were treated with snowfall! We had fun making snowmen, throwing snowballs, and tobogganing nearby our lodge.

The teachers would like to say a big thank-you to the students, who exhibited enthusiasm, resilience, determination and a caring nature throughout the trip. Your attitudes really made for a memorable camp experience for both students and teachers alike. Well done.
