Publishing work

Students have been publishing some of their reading and writing work. We have also been reading the World’s Most Pointless Animals summarised the key information and then published a summary. Some students decided to publish on the iPad, while others chose to publish on paper. 

Other published works worth sharing about have been the stories based off The Pencil book, which have been published as animated keynote presentations. Students learned how to import and animate characters from Sketches. 

Currently the class reading is There’s A Rang-Tan In My Bedroom. We watched a BTN clip about deforestation, and then used the text structure as a springboard to write a persuasive story. We are looking forward to celebrating their published pieces using the skills they learnt when creating their own versions of The Pencil story.
