Remarkable Women

We have been on an exciting journey, discovering remarkable women in history.

They've been busy enhancing their reading skills by learning to visualise and grasp the main ideas in stories. In addition, they've been practicing their communication skills by asking and answering questions. So far, our young learners have been inspired by the stories of famous astronauts, activists, and talented artists, among others. But that's not all! Currently, our students are working hard on a special project. They're creating their own versions of the 'Little People Big Dreams' book, each one centred around an important woman in their lives. To make these books extra special, our students conducted interviews with their chosen woman and are now using these treasured stories to craft their own narratives. We can't wait to see the finished products!

Division & Multiplication

Students have been delving into the fascinating world of multiplication and division. During our division lessons, students explored the concepts of equal sharing and equal grouping while understanding the difference between the two. They used a range of strategies to tackle division challenges, including a fun activity involving cookies and the equal sharing of smarties. Through this activity, students discovered that if there were 100 smarties available and 20 students in the class that day, each student would receive a treat of 5 smarties. To wrap up the lesson on a sweet note, our students had the chance to ice and decorate their cookies with the colourful smarties.
