The Lions Youth of the Year program has a proud history in encouraging and fostering leadership skills in Australian students approaching the end of their high school years.

By emphasising qualities like contribution to the community and school, public speaking, academic skills, sporting and cultural involvement, Youth of the Year aims to bring forth the next generation of outstanding young Australians.

Selective Schools Test...

Do you have a student in Year 5 who is high potential or gifted? Is your child achieving at a higher level than their age peers? Do you think a selective school environment would enhance your child's learning and wellbeing?

Applications are open now for Year 5 students entering high school in 2025 to sit the Selective Schools Test. This test allows students to access the selective stream at Armidale Secondary College. Applications close on the 20th of November 2023.

Please speak with your Year5 student's class teacher to help you decide if this is right for your child.

Armidale Secondary College will be attending the Stand Tall Event that is on in Tamworth, 17th November. This is a regular school day for all our students, apart from the students that will be at camp.
