SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY

On Friday, May 3rd (Week 1, Term 2), we will hold our

School Cross Country at Jubilee Oval. We hope that the children have taken the opportunity to practice for this event over the holidays.

Minors (5, 6, 7 year olds) will run 1km

Juniors (8, 9, 10 year olds) will run 2km

Seniors (11, 12 year olds) will run 3km

The cross country will commence at 10am and once the Minor, Junior and Senior events have been run, we will walk back to the school for the presentation. Parents, families and friends are most welcome to attend to cheer on the children. After our presentation, we would also love you to join us for morning tea under the COLA.

For successful runners from our school event, the Diocesan Cross Country will be held in Barraba on Friday, May 17th.

This Cross Country event was added to Compass for permission before the holidays. Giving permission, also allows your child to go to the oval with staff on Thursday, May 2nd, 2024 (change of day) to walk the course. If you can be at a checkpoint around the course, please complete the question on the Compass Event.

ATHLETICS COACHING ~ TERM 2

We are excited to have the expertise of Andrew Frend from Zoom Athletics back again this year to facilitate weekly skills to prepare students for our athletics carnival on Wednesday, July 3rd.  Thank you to the  Australian Government's Sporting Schools Grant, as this has allowed accredited athletics coaches to instruct our students in K-6.

This will commence next Wednesday, May 8th and an event will be created on Compass for you to give permission for your child to attend the 6 sessions during school hours. Please ensure that you attend to this before the due date expires on the Compass Event.
