RE & Wellbeing News
Dear Families,
An Anzac Day Prayer
Grant all servicepersons who sacrificed health and life for the good of all, the gift of your deep peace.
May we who inherit the freedom for which they fought become instruments of your peace in our homes, workplaces and world.
We ask this prayer through Christ our Lord.
During Choir and Music lessons for the Year 2-6 students in the past 2 weeks we have been learning a beautiful song called The Last Anzac for our Anzac Day gathering today. The children have been really respectful and interested in the message of this song and the meaning of Anzac Day.
FAMILY WEEK: 13th - 17th of May
Plans for family week are underway, with more details to follow next week. But if you can make it, put in your calendar the afternoon of Thursday 16th of May. We will have some time in classes to share family stories and traditions as well as a shared lunch with your child/children. We have a special assembly planned for the afternoon too.
Teachers will be working with their class next week about what represents their own family and also the students families. We will be asking students to bring in photos/special items that represent family and traditions that are special to them.
Wellbeing News - Child Safe Standards
As you may be aware the Victorian governments Child Safe Standards changed in July 2022 and any organisation working with children must comply to these standards. Here is an easy guide that explains each standard. At Sacred Heart, we actively promote the wellbeing and safety of every student entrusted in our care.
Have a great weekend.
Take Care,
