John XXIII Netball Club

It was great to see all the smiling faces for the start of our season last week. We had a few great wins and a few losses.

There will be a re-grading in three weeks.

We look forward to seeing the primary school on court this week.

Scoring and timing

Every family will be asked to do the scoring and/or timing during the season.

The attached 'How to Score' should answer all of your scoring and timing questions.

Parking

Parking at Matthews' Netball Centre is always busy. The car park will be full this week.

Please allow plenty of time to park and get to the court for a warm-up and position allocation.

It’s a very exciting time for everyone, but please note: 

• Parents and spectators must remain stationary on the sideline
• Parents and spectators must stand behind the yellow spectator line and are not allowed to stand along the base/goal line
• Jewellery is not allowed, not even taped
• Nails must be cut short and filed smooth
• Parents must not approach the umpires under any circumstances

Code of Conduct

Please remember that 

• This is a game for the enjoyment of the players. 
• Umpires are human and someone's child. 
• Coaches are doing the best they can.

Any breach of the Code of Conduct can result in a fine, loss of points or suspension of a player or team. 

Fines issued by PNA are to be paid by the team, not the Club. If there is a problem on court that cannot be rectified by the umpires or coach, please ask your manager to call Milissa to court. Our Code of Conduct & Disciplinary Policy, Code of Behaviour and Expectations of Players are available upon request.

Absences

Please advise your coach as soon as possible if you won't be able to make it to your game. It is incredibly difficult to find replacement players on game day. 

The forfeit penalty is $100 after 5pm on Thursday and $50 before 5pm on Thursday.

Forfeit penalties are passed on to the players who are absent from the game.
