School Advisory Council

SCHOOL ADVISORY COUNCIL:

Our School Advisory Council (SAC) met on Tuesday evening for our 2024 AGM. We reviewed our focus and work from 2023 and decided that we would run our meetings with a rotating chair as we had in 2023. The SAC meets approximately 6 times a year and is an avenue for parent voice and connection with the mission of our school and parish. The current members of the School Advisory Council are:

Ben Poole, Simon Murray, Tess Pearson, Amanda Barca, Noha Chamoun, Fiona Davidson, Leanne D'Angelo along with Andrew Davies, Frances Matisi and Father Joseph.

 

Other items discussed in the meeting were:

  • Update on the development of our masterplan
  • Australia's Best Teacher nominations
  • Parent Workshops being run over three Tuesday evenings in June - free for all St Mark's families focussing on the "Optimal Relationship Approach"
  • FIRE Carrier Program
  • Stand Up Project
  • Class excursions and incursions
  • New class rep/"WhatsApp" set up
  • Children's Liturgy at St Mark's Masses

 

Our next meeting will be held on 4th June at 7.30 p.m.
