Year 2 Excursion

In Humanities and Social Sciences, Year 2 have been learning about the history of the land on which Optus Stadium stands and the cultural significance of this site past and present. Recently, we visited Optus Stadium on a school excursion so we could explore this area first hand.

Optus Stadium Recount by Piper

The Year 2 Platypus’ and Echidnas’ went to Optus Stadium on Wednesday the 1st of May for an excursion.

On our excursion we got to walk on Matagarup Bridge. While we were there we saw jellyfish. We also saw birds flying in the sky. After walking on Matagarup Bridge we got on a tour at Optus Stadium.

First, Year 2 Platypus looked at the seats from the top floor. When we were on the top floor, they told us about Optus Stadium.

Next, we went into the coach’s box.

Third, we went in the Eagles change room and training rooms. We also went into the Docker’s change rooms and training rooms. Then we looked at Optus Stadium’s view.

My favourite part was the hot tub, ice baths, coach’s box and the Optus Stadium view. I loved it!
