Events and Fundraising 

Second Hand Uniform Sale 

We will hold our first second hand uniform sale of the year on Friday 3 May 3:30 – 4pm. If you have any uniform items you would like to donate, please bring these into the office before this date.

Education Week 

There will be an opportunity to share some morning tea and find out more about Watashi Mo on Tuesday 14 May after school commences. Keep an eye out for more details on this and join us for a friendly chat if you can! 

Other events

We are awaiting confirmation on dates however we are anticipating the Bilingual Book Fair (May) and Bunnings Sausage Sizzle (likely August) to be added to our calendar of events in the coming months. We will send out requests for volunteer support for these events but in the meantime if you would like to help out in any way, please let the Watashi Mo Committee know. 

The school and school council has agreed that last year’s funds and this year’s fundraising efforts will contribute to the re-development of the school playground to be an all abilities and inclusive play space. We’d like to acknowledge the incredible efforts and support of our school community which is helping to bring this to life – whether you’ve given through time, goods or fundraising. Thank you!

Class Reps and Family Connections 

We have a wonderful group of class/year level reps who help with sharing Watashi Mo and school information and generally support families across a nominated class or year level to connect. Our current class/year level reps are: 

There are also Whatsapp chats that have been set up by the reps to connect families and for sharing news and information within a child’s immediate class or year group. If you’d like to join any of the groups that relate to your child/ren please use the QR codes attached below: 

Committee – can you join? 

We’re actively looking for people to join the Watashi Mo committee to support our existing members – it’s going to be a big year with the school’s upcoming 70th Anniversary celebrations, and our continued focus on building connections and engagement across the school community. We encourage role sharing for each of the committee roles and also divide up responsibilities so it’s a very friendly, collaborative and supportive group. It’s also a great way to meet new families, and get involved with fundraising and community building at the school!
