Call for Volunteers

Our breakfast Club program is seeking a volunteer to assist with the set-up, cooking of toast and clean-up. We would really appreciate someone who may be able to commit to Monday mornings, however, assistance on our other mornings would also be welcome (that’s Tuesday, Thursday and Friday).

Set-up begins at 8am, with students coming in at 8.30am until 8.45am, then it’s clean-up until 9am. If you would like to bring your child/ren along with you, that’s ok, as long as they are students at our school and remain with you in the breakfast club room until 8.45am.

If you have some time available, and are interested, please see Ms Scott as soon as possible for further information.

2024 Week 2 -  Challenge of the Week

Here is this week’s Boggle gameboard.  You use the letters in the boggle grid to make words and gain points.  How many points do you think that you will be able to score?

Here are the rules for Boggle:

  • The letters in the words must be connected in the same order in the grid.
  • The letters can be connected by an edge or a corner.
  • The word doesn't have to appear in a straight line. It can be tangled around.
  • Each letter in the word must uniquely appear in the grid. For example, if the word is ERASE, the letter E must appear twice in the grid. The word can't just loop back and re-use the same E.
  • Words must be at least 3 letters long
  • Here's an example of finding the word CAR.

Once you have found as many words as you can, bring your word list to the ‘Challenge’ box in the corridor by recess on Thursday.  Each student will receive a PAC card for taking up the challenge.

Dear family and friends of DPW,

Last week, I had the privilege to visit our local kindergartens to meet the coordinators, students and to distribute enrolment flyers and information for 2025. It was a great opportunity to discuss upcoming kinder visits to our wonderful school along with sharing more information about our comprehensive Foundation Transition Program. We value our ongoing partnership with our local kindergartens. We look forward to hosting the 4year old students from our local community throughout the year.

Many thanks,
