Term 2 – Week 8 (½ day PL and ½ day report writing

Term 2 – TBD

Term 3 – Week 6

Term 4 – 1st Friday Dec (½ Day PL and ½ Day report writing)

Term 4 – Last Day of 2026.

All students will commence the school year on Thursday 29th January.

Book Lists

Last week, students brought home their 2026 book lists. These are priced locally, however, parents are welcome to purchase from any provider. We do ask that specific notice is taken to the writing thirds, as different year levels have different sized lines.  Teachers will also be distributing any unused resources from this year.

Additionally, with the book list, we sent home the 2026 Curriculum Contribution. This contribution helps the school purchase online learning platforms, photocopying, ICT repairs and classroom materials. They go 100% to classroom learning and resources.

Payments of students 2025 Curriculum Contributions are still payable via XUNO.

Concert & Awards Night

It's concert time!!

Students are asked to start arriving around 5.30 and will need to sit with their classmates. Student will remain with their class for the duration of the concert. This allows for smooth transition to and from stage.

Due to Child Safety protocols, parents are asked to remain in their seats throughout the concert and reframe from filming or taking photos.

Concert will commence at 6.00pm and will run for around an hour, maybe a little longer.

At the end of the concert, we appreciate parent support in stacking chairs, allowing for them to be moved back to school.

We hope you all enjoy our evening.

Christmas Raffle

Our annual Christmas Raffle will be drawn at the concert. If you have sold tickets and still need to return these, please send them tomorrow morning or bring them along and we can add them in.

Additional tickets will be available to purchase at the door.

Year 6 Graduation & Assembly

On Thursday 18th December, we will be holding our graduation assembly. Our Year 6 students will be presented, one by one, to the assembly, they will discuss their schooling highlights and then ring the school bell.

This assembly will commence at 2.30pm. All parents and special persons are welcome to attend.

Thursday evening, we will celebrate our Year 6 students at their Graduation Dinner. This year is a special year for myself, so I have decided to attend as a parent, not principal. With this being said, our School Captains and Vice Captains will be running the evening. I am looking forward to celebrating this very special year level of students.

After School Care.

During Term 4, parents were given the opportunity to respond to a school based survey around the need for an After School Care Program. The results showed that parents would only use the program periodically. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot currently establish a program, however, we will be redistributing the survey in early Term 1 to see if this have changed, and we will once again investigate how we can support families in this space.

Final words from me...

I want to thank our students, parents, staff and community members for an amazing 2025. This year has definitely flown, and I am not sure where Term 4 has gone.

We have packed a lot into this term, including excursions, camps, swimming, bike ed, and, of course, learning. Our students and teachers should be very proud of everything they have achieved.

Thank you to the members of our School Council and Parents and Friends. These parents do amazing work behind the scenes, and I cannot thank you all enough for the dedication they show to the school and our students.

I wish you all an amazing Christmas with your family and friends, and restful and enjoyable summer holidays.

School will return for all students at BPS on Thursday 29th January
