Resource Library News

THANK YOU FROM THE LIBRARY TEAM
As we approach the end of 2025, we take a moment to reminisce about another unforgettable year at the College Resource Library. Together, we have navigated changes, embraced new opportunities, and continued to transform the library into a vibrant and welcoming space for everyone.
One of the highlights this year was Booktacular Book Week 2025, an incredible week packed with engaging activities, creative sessions, and special guests. The library was alive with enthusiasm as students participated in author sessions, hands-on workshops, and immersed themselves in the enchanting world of books. The creativity on display was truly awe-inspiring, with students creating stories, purchasing books, and learning new skills. It was a genuine celebration of literature, imagination, and the transformative power of reading!
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our amazing staff and parents. Your commitment, support, and encouragement have been instrumental in shaping the library’s success. Your active involvement has ensured that the library truly reflects the interests and needs of our community, and we are immensely thankful.
As we enter the festive season, we hope everyone takes the time to relax, recharge, and create lasting memories with family and friends. We are eager for the new year ahead and look forward to all the adventures, ideas, and learning that 2026 will bring.

P–12 LIBRARY MOVIE NIGHT – THANK YOU
The College Resource Library would like to extend a warm thank you to all students, families, and the school community who joined us for our Christmas Season Movie Night last Friday. We are so grateful for the wonderful support shown toward our library events throughout the year. It was a fantastic evening of festive celebration and a wonderful wind down to Term 4. Before the screening of the nostalgic Christmas classic The Santa Clause, students and families enjoyed a selection of Christmas craft activities provided by our library staff. The night also featured lucky prize draws, with three beautiful hamper baskets won by some very excited families.
We would also like to acknowledge and sincerely thank our two local businesses; Colourful Confectionery and The Port Icecreamery, for attending and being part of our event. Their involvement helped make the evening extra special, and we could not have done it without them.
Many thanks,
The Library Team: Jen, Karen, Meg.
