Women's Big Bash Game

Some of our Year 5-8 students were up bright and early last Friday, departing school at 6:30 am to head to the CitiPower Centre in Melbourne to watch the Women’s Big Bash League match between the Melbourne Renegades and the Sydney Sixers.

Before the game, students were invited onto the field, where they had the incredible opportunity to take part in the Welcome to Country alongside the players. 

Throughout the match, they enjoyed an impressive display of professional cricket while also getting involved in a range of activities around the ground, including bowling, catching, and batting practice. 

The group was featured on television during the game and later had the amazing honour of forming a guard of honour for the players as they ran out to begin the second innings! Students absolutely loved the experience, finishing the day with big smiles—and a few prized player signatures to take home.
