Principal's Message to the School Community

Dear KPS Community,

As we approach the end of another successful school year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank our students, staff, and families for their ongoing support and partnership. 2025 has been a year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences, and we are incredibly proud of everything our students have achieved—academically, socially, and personally.

Our dedicated staff have worked tirelessly to create engaging learning environments and support the wellbeing of every child. We also acknowledge the tremendous efforts of our families, whose encouragement at home plays such an important role in each child’s success.

We congratulate our Year 6 students as they prepare to transition to secondary school. They have been outstanding leaders and role models, and we wish them every success as they begin the next stage of their educational journey. We also welcome our new Foundation families joining us next year and look forward to supporting them as they begin this exciting chapter.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to school events, excursions, sports programs, fundraising activities, and classroom learning throughout the year. Your involvement helps make our school a vibrant, supportive, and inclusive community.

2026 Transition Morning

On Tuesday, our students successfully transitioned into their 2026 studios, where they spent time with their new teacher and classmates. This marks the beginning of an exciting journey as they prepare for the year ahead. The formation of the 2026 class groupings has been a thoughtful and intentional process, carefully led by our dedicated teaching staff in collaboration with the wellbeing team. Our goal has been to ensure that each class is balanced, offering an equitable mixture of learners to support both academic and social development.

Over many hours throughout November, the team meticulously

considered a range of factors, including learning styles, social dynamics,

academic strengths, and individual needs. We also carefully reviewed the 54

class placement requests received from families, ensuring each was considered in the context of creating harmonious and productive learning environments.

Given the complexities of this process, we will not be able to make any changes to the 2026 class lists. We understand that class placements can sometimes be a source of concern, but we are confident that the final groupings reflect the best possible arrangements for students’ growth and

success.

We look forward to seeing the positive outcomes of these carefully crafted groupings and are excited for the opportunities that lie ahead for our 2026 classes.

We wish all families a safe, happy, and restful holiday break. We look forward to welcoming students back for the 2026 school year.

Yours sincerely,

Alistair Rayner
