Science Week is normally held in Term 3, close to Book Week, but this year we decided to link our Term 4 Science Inquiry work with our very own SFX Science Week! Students had a fantastic time exploring hands-on, rotational activities and participating in an engaging science incursion. It was a fun and exciting way to deepen our learning about forces and scientific thinking. Overall, it's been a huge term of science.
St Francis Xavier Feast Day is celebrated each year on December 3. This year, we attended Mass at St Francis Xavier Church and then took part in a series of rotational activities to explore this year’s Jubilee celebration – Pilgrims of Hope. It was a meaningful and reflective day for our students as they learned about hope, compassion, and walking together in faith.

Yesterday students had the opportunity to 'show off' their hard work this term, not only in Inquiry but across all curriculum areas. Thank you for taking the time to come in and listen to your children present their hard work! Many future scientists and engineers in 3/4D!!

I would like to take this opportunity for thanking you all for a wonderful first year of teaching your children in 3/4D. I have loved being their teacher and we have had the best year together. Next Friday, December 12th will be my last day of the school year. We are heading home to Ireland for Christmas and also have my sister's wedding to celebrate!
Wishing you all a wonderful, peaceful Christmas and all the best wishes for 2026. I will see you all in 2026!
