5/6L

Ms Lisa & Ms. Karen

A Note from Ms. Lisa...

As we come to the end of a genuinely wonderful year, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to all of our 5/6L families, carers, friends, and emotional support pets. Your support, encouragement, and partnership have meant so much. It truly takes a village to educate a child, and I am incredibly grateful for the trust you have placed in me throughout 2025.

To my incredible Grade 6 students heading off to high school - I wish you every success and happiness. You are ready for this next chapter (even if I'm still not quite ready to let you all go...hard pass!). I know you will take your strengths, your kindness, your resilience, and just the right amount of cheekiness and sass with you.  To my Grade 5s moving into your final year of primary school, I look forward to seeing you shine as leaders of SFX next year, badge or no badge.

I feel truly blessed to spend my work days laughing, teaching, and being constantly surprised by the amazing young humans that you trust to my care each day. It is not overstating things to say that I am humbled to be a small part of their lives, and it's always hard to let them go! Thank you once again for a wonderful year. It has been a true privilege and joy to teach your children.

Warmest regards,

Ms. Lisa

Important Dates

If you thought the last few weeks have been busy, brace yourselves for the crazy end-of-year season!

Week 10

  • Monday 8th December - Final assembly for the year at 2:15pm. Grade 6 leaders will be announced, and 2025 awards will be presented. Reports also go live today.
  • Tuesday 9th December - State wide transition day. Most Grade 6 students will spend at least part of the day at their high school. Grade 5 students will meet their 2026 teacher and class.
  • Wednesday 10th December - Running Club Victory Day! We'll be having a small class celebration to recognise our amazing efforts in Running Club this year. Not only were we the class with the most laps (by a fair stripe too!), but we were also the only class in the whole school who had EVERY SINGLE STUDENT complete at least one lap.
  • Thursday 11th December - Christmas Carols Concert from 2pm.
  • Friday 12th December - Grade 6 Big Day Out at Luna Park. Bus will be leaving at 9am sharp, don't be late! Grade 5 students will be in split classes for the day.

Week 11

  • Monday 14th December - Grade 6 Graduation (say it isn't so!).
  • Tuesday 15th December - Last day for students! Our final Mass of the year will be at 1:45pm. Grade 6s will hand over leadership of the school to the Grade 5s at this Mass, so we'd love to have you all there.

All of the Things!

It has been such a busy fortnight that it's almost impossible to recap everything in one newsletter. Instead, please enjoy these photos from a few of the (many) highlights we've shared lately!
