It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
As we reach the end of another busy and joy-filled school year, it truly is beginning to look a lot like Christmas around Lakeside. Our final weeks have been filled with moments of celebration, reflection and community, especially through our Christmas chapels.
This year, it has been wonderful to see more teachers stepping forward to lead and support chapel services. Their creativity, care and willingness to share their faith with our students has been a blessing. A special thank-you to Mrs Maree Worker, who led one of our Secondary Christmas chapels with warmth and enthusiasm. Her message helped our students pause and remember the meaning of Christmas, beyond the sparkly bits. Our primary students also enjoyed some fun and wonder as Harold the puppet made a special appearance during our Christmas chapels.
We also wrapped up a fantastic term of Mustard with our end-of-year Christmas party. It was a joyful way to celebrate the end of a fantastic term. A huge thank-you to all students who participated so wholeheartedly, you make Mustard a vibrant and welcoming community.
As we head into the holidays, I encourage all our families to keep Christ at the centre of Christmas. In a season full of busyness and excitement, may we not lose sight of the incredible gift we celebrate: God’s love coming to us in Jesus. If you’re looking for a meaningful way to mark Christmas this year, you might like to visit a local church service, many offer family-friendly gatherings that warmly welcome visitors.
I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas and a safe, refreshing and joy-filled New Year. May your holidays be restful, meaningful and full of God’s peace.
May God bless you and your family.
