MRS WHITE RECEIVES DRAMA VICTORIA AWARD
It is with immense delight that we congratulate our Head of Drama, Mrs. Courtney White, for being honoured with the prestigious Rob Galbraith Award for Outstanding Contribution to Drama by a Beginning Teacher from Drama Victoria.
This esteemed accolade recognises educators who demonstrate outstanding and innovative work within their educational setting. The nomination criteria highlights Mrs. White as an excellent role model, embodying the passion, innovation, and dedication we value so highly here at BHCS.
Mrs. White has been a deeply valued member of our school community for 13 years, serving in various roles, and since completing her teaching degree in 2023, has joined our Drama Department and is currently Head of Drama. She has taught across a wide range of subjects, including Years 8-12 Drama, English, Humanities, Christian Studies, and Film Studies.
She has been a creative force behind many spectacular school productions. While she has contributed as backstage crew for shows like Fiddler on the Roof and Sound of Music, and served as Assistant Director for Sense & Sensibility and Charlie andThe Chocolate Factory, her recent triumph as Director for our highly successful 2025 production of Mary Poppins that stands out. We are truly blessed to have a teacher of Mrs. White's caliber leading our Drama department.
This award is a genuine reflection of her commitment to excellence and her inspiring ability to encourage our students to achieve their very best.
