Congratulations to our November Aussie of the Month Mercy.

Aussie of the Month is awarded to a student each month that demonstrates the qualities of fairness, mateship, respect and inclusion.  

Mercy is a quiet, gentle student who has a cheeky side lurking underneath. She is friendly, warm and kind – Mercy notices things about you and remembers them, showing that she cares. She is a loyal friend who helps others to feel comfortable and welcome. Mercy shows sensitivity and empathy to others at all times.

She is respectful and helpful to all teachers, making her presence felt in the classroom with a big smile, sweet notes and cards and even hugs.

Mercy is a clever learner, eager to make the most of school every day. She listens respectfully and aims to show you everything she is capable of, never having to ask, ‘Is this enough?’. Mercy takes pride in her work, ensuring it looks beautiful as well. She is responsible in the classroom and playground and can always be trusted to do the right thing, even when no one is looking. Mercy, we are so grateful to have you in 1A and look forward to seeing you continue to grow in confidence, skills and presence. Congratulations!

What would you do in playground if you saw someone upset?

Ask if they are ok, and do they want to play with me

Congratulations to our December Aussie of the Month Orla!

Aussie of the Month is awarded to a student each month that demonstrates the qualities of fairness, mateship, respect and inclusion.  

Orla is one of those students who demonstrates a genuine love of learning. She is enthusiastic about all areas of the curriculum, always eager to know more and improve her knowledge. Orla consistently gives her best efforts in all she does, has excellent work habits and takes pride in completing every task to a high standard. Orla always demonstrates our school values of Respect, Responsibility, and being a Learner through her actions and words, and is an excellent role model for her peers.

She lights up our classroom with her positive attitude, bright smile, and friendliness. Orla has a lovely and kind nature and is always willing to help others. She looks out for those around her and readily offers support to both her peers and teachers. She is inclusive of all students, making sure everyone feels welcomed and involved in activities.

Orla, we have been so lucky to have you in Prep D! You have approached school life with curiosity and excitement, and we look forward to seeing all that you achieve in the years ahead!
