Grade 3 and 4 Hoop Time Regional Final
Our talented Grade 3 and 4 basketball teams proudly represented TPS at the Hoop Time Regional Finals last week. Congratulations to both teams on finishing as runners-up! We are incredibly proud of their teamwork, resilience, and the positive spirit they displayed throughout the day. We wish our girls team all the best at the State Finals on Monday 1st December.
Grade 5 and 6 Life Saving Victoria Water Safety Program
Last Wednesday, the Grade 5 and 6 students went to Hampton Beach to participate in a Water Safety Program. Students learnt how to keep themselves and others safe when swimming in open water environments. They learnt about how to read and understand signs at the beach, identify rips in the water, and how everyday objects can be used to rescue others in the water. Students enjoyed learning how to boogie board, perform rescues and play beach games.
Félicitations Juliet and Penelope!
On Monday 17 November, Juliet (Grade 3) and Penelope (Grade 5), attended the Berthe Mouchette French Poetry Competition Prize Giving Ceremony, held at the beautiful Capitol Theatre in Melbourne. Winners from Grade 3 to Year 12 were invited to celebrate their achievements and receive their awards on stage.
A highlight of the event was Penelope’s poem recital, where she confidently performed her piece in front of the audience.
After the ceremony, students and families enjoyed some delicious finger food and a chance to meet other award recipients from across Victoria.
We are incredibly proud of Juliet and Penelope for representing Toorak Primary School with confidence and enthusiasm. Félicitations!
Principals Galore!
We had an number of Principals of the Day over the last few weeks - Ashwika 1A, Reina 1A, Frankie C 1A, Havana 1A, Winnie 1A, Juliette 1A, Penelope 5B, Charlie 2C, Sienna 3A. All students had been awarded with 100 tokens qualifying them for Princiapl onf the day. Their tasks included visiting classrooms, awarding tokens to students who demonstrated our school values, making important announcements over the speaker and assisting Ms D at assembly.

All that Glitters and Glows!
Glitter, glow, colour and some great dance moves were abound at the TPS Disco last Friday night. Reports came through that it was the best disco ever! A very big thank you to Michelle Stephens and her team of helpers.
Music, Music and more Music!
Our parents thoroughly enjoyed attending our Music Soirée yesterday afternoon. Students performed songs of their choice and showcased their skills on a variety of instruments. The soirée provides an excellent platform for students to share their talents and build confidence performing in front of an audience.
2026 Foundation Transition Session 3
Our Foundation 2026 parents and children enjoyed their third transition session this morning, with a focus on Wellbeing. Students spent time with a Grade 5 buddy, helping them feel supported and prepared for their start in 2026. Here are some happy snaps from today’s session.
We look forward to welcoming our Foundation 2026 students back for their fourth transition session on Tuesday, 9 December. During this session, students will meet their 2026 classroom teacher and find out who their classmates will be.
