Parent Volunteer Morning Tea – Thursday 27 November

We warmly invite all 2025 Parent Volunteers to join us for a special Thank You Morning Tea on Thursday 27 November at 8:30am in the School Library.

Our volunteers play an essential role in strengthening the Toorak Primary School community. Whether you have assisted in the classroom, helped at events, supported excursions, contributed to fundraising, or offered your time in countless quiet ways behind the scenes—your efforts truly make a difference.

Volunteers help create richer learning experiences for our students and contribute to the supportive, connected environment we value so deeply at TPS. We are incredibly grateful for the time, care, and energy you generously give.

We look forward to celebrating you and thanking you in person for your contributions throughout the year.

We hope to see you there!

It has been a wonderful and exciting few weeks at Toorak Primary School as we welcomed our newest members of the TPS community. Our 2026 Prep students have now completed the first three of their transition sessions and have had a small—yet very meaningful—introduction to school life at Toorak.

The Prep transition program plays an essential role in setting our students up for success. These early experiences allow children to become familiar with their classroom environment, meet teachers and support staff, explore the playground, and begin forming connections with the peers who may become their classmates next year.

Whether they bounded confidently into the classroom or needed a little extra reassurance at the start, every child finished their session with a big smile and an enthusiastic story to share. Their growing confidence is a joy to watch, and we look forward to continuing this journey with them.

Student Leadership Roles

Our Grade 5 students have now submitted their applications for the 2026 Grade 6 formal leadership positions. Applications are currently being shortlisted, and shortlisted students will have the opportunity to discuss their ideas and aspirations with Julie and myself during an interview. Successful applicants will be announced at our end-of-year assembly.

At Toorak Primary School, we are proud to offer a wide range of meaningful leadership opportunities. In addition to School Captain and Vice-Captain roles, students can apply for positions such as House Captains, Arts Leaders, French Leaders, Library Leaders, Prep Buddy Captains, Citizen Captains etc

We are incredibly proud of our strong student leadership culture at TPS. Each year, our students bring fresh ideas, creativity, and a genuine desire to make our school an even better place. We look forward to hearing the wonderful contributions our future leaders are ready to make.

Songs of Celebration – Tuesday 9 December

We are delighted to invite all Toorak Primary School families to our annual Songs of Celebration on Tuesday 9 December from 5:00–6:00pm.

This is always a joyful end-of-year event where our students come together to share music, celebrate their learning, and finish the year on a high note. We encourage all families to bring their picnic blankets, find a spot on the basketball court, and enjoy an evening of community spirit and student performance.

Our School Council will be hosting a sausage sizzle, with drinks available for purchase, and we are pleased to welcome back the coffee cart for those who would like a warm drink while they enjoy the festivities.

We look forward to seeing our TPS community come together for this special celebration. It’s a wonderful way to mark the end of a fantastic year—your presence will make it even more memorable!
