Celebrating Excellence: Congratulations to Ms Sheralee Spencer!
We are delighted to share the wonderful news that Ms Sheralee Spencer — our Digital Technologies teacher here at Caulfield Junior College — has been awarded the DLTV Digital Technologies Educator of the Year Award by Digital Learning and Teaching Victoria (DLTV).
This award recognises Victorian educators who have made an outstanding contribution to the implementation of the Digital Technologies curriculum, and who have had a significant positive effect on their students through innovative teaching.
Why this honour is so special
Leadership & Vision
Since the introduction of our Digital Technologies program three years ago, Ms Spencer has spearheaded its development and growth at Caulfield Junior College. She has taken a leading role in shaping a vibrant, forward-looking digital learning environment for our students.
Innovation & Engagement
Under her guidance, the program has grown beyond basic lessons. Students now enjoy weekly specialist Digital Technologies classes across all year levels — an engaging space where coding, creativity, problem-solving and design come to life.
Cutting-edge resources
Thanks to her advocacy, the school invested in 3D printers, coding devices, and other technological tools — placing our students at the forefront of contemporary digital learning.
Collaborative approach
Ms Spencer hasn’t worked alone. She has worked alongside our dedicated digital-technologies coach, Coby Reynolds (Mr Coby), to enrich and support the program. Their collaborative effort has strengthened the quality of our Digital Technologies curriculum and ensured students have access to expert guidance and support.
What this means for our CJC community
Ms Spencer’s award is not just a personal achievement — it reflects our school’s commitment to preparing students for a rapidly evolving digital world.
Through her leadership and exceptional teaching:
Our children gain 21st-century skills — not just literacy and numeracy, but coding, design thinking, problem solving, and digital creativity.
Our school sets a high standard for digital pedagogy, helping ensure our curriculum remains current and relevant.
Our broader community — teachers, students and families — gains a role model for innovation, perseverance and excellence in education.
Please join us in celebrating Ms Spencer’s remarkable achievement. We are profoundly proud of her, and grateful for the energy, passion and vision she brings to our school each day. Her success is a success for every member of the CJC community — and a sign of even greater things to come.
On behalf of the whole school community — congratulations, Ms Spencer!
