From The Team

What a great start we have had to the term. We are enjoying learning about the Olympics and cheering on our Aussie athletes in Paris. Our Mini Olympics last week were great fun. We will also be holding a Potato Olympics with the Preps over the coming weeks. We have been learning about how hard athletes train and, during Level Sport sessions, we have been working on our fitness by completing different exercises and activities.

It was fantastic to celebrate 100 Days of Learning today with the Foundation students. We did lots of fun activities all about 100 together.

We have been busy practising for our whole-chool production and can’t wait to show you our dances. Please remember to purchase your tickets for the night. Students who are performing do not require a ticket. Costumes also need to be brought to school in a named bag.

  • Reading Logs: Record your child’s nightly reading.
  • Red Folders: Regularly practise reading or spelling their high frequency words.

Making Sandwiches

We enjoyed making our own Vegemite, jam or honey sandwiches. Eating them was the best part!

Mini Olympics

We had a great time participating in the activities during our Mini Olympics! Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!

Grassheads

We used old stockings and cotton wool to create our own grassheads this week. Then we wrote the procedure that we followed. We can’t wait to see them start to grow some hair!
