Science And Technology 

This Term DPS have purchased a brand new class set of Lego Spike Essentials to be used in Science. With Spike Essential our students can think, problem solve and create collaboratively, incorporating what they know about science and technology while learning how to build and code.

LEGO Education SPIKE Essential is an innovative STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) learning tool designed for Primary school students. It combines LEGO building elements, intelligent hardware, and an intuitive app to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

Hands-on STEAM Learning: Students explore STEAM concepts through interactive lessons that involve building and programming LEGO models. This approach helps them understand complex ideas in a fun and tangible way.

Cross-Curricular Integration: SPIKE Essential supports literacy, math, and social-emotional development alongside STEAM learning. Lessons are designed around everyday themes and storytelling, making learning relatable and engaging.

Collaboration and Problem-Solving: Students work in pairs or small groups, fostering teamwork and communication skills. They brainstorm, build, and test their creations, learning through trial and error.
