Principal's Reports

A huge thankyou to the staff and students for making sure that I had a wonderful Principal's Day this week. The staff provided a lovely morning tea and gift. The highlight of the day was arriving at my office to have my window covered with 'thumbs up' messages from the Prep to 2 grades and books of messages from the students. According to the students when responding to 'How old is Mrs Dowsett?' I am aged anywhere from "not a day over 21" to 78.

School Uniform:

As mentioned on the compass message this week, we need parent support to ensure all students are wearing the correct school uniform. Our Uniform Policy is available on our school website. If you are unable to provide the correct school uniform please speak to us and will help you in any way we can. There will be the odd occasion when the school uniform is in the wash or your child has lost their jumper. On these occasions we require a note. 2nd hand uniforms are also available for a gold coin donation.

I'm sure you can appreciate that once 1 child starts replacing a school jumper with their favourite hoodie, or school pants with brand name pants of a different colour, it quickly results in many students doing the same. I like to explain to students that it's the same as being part of a basketball or football team. You don't turn up to your basketball match wearing a different team top or shorts. You are required to wear the team uniform. We appreciate your support in following our school policy.

Parent Opinion Survey:

Yesterday all families received information about this year's Parent Opinion Survey. Today you will have received an invitation to take part in the survey with log in details. We value feedback from our parent community and would appreciate it if we could have one response per family. If you have difficulty accessing the survey, please call the office and we will help you sort it out. 

SWIMMING:

Our swimming program starts on Monday! Don't forget to pack a towel as that is the most forgotten item when children go to get changed (and undies). A reminder that you need to have notified your child's teacher if you plan to be at the pool and you must also have registered your Working With Children Card with the school office.
