Year 1/2 Police Incursion

To continue learning about our community during our Inquiry unit, the Year 1 and 2 students had some special visitors! Senior Constable Sara and Constable Maddi from Victoria Police came and spoke to us about what the police do in our community and the different ways they can help us. The students especially loved being able to see the special police equipment and hearing the loud sirens! A big thank you to Senior Constable Sara for helping us create such an important partnership between Victoria Police and Good Shepherd!

On Thursday 21st November, the Year Two’s were visited by 2 police officers. Their names were Senior Constable Sara and Constable Maddi. They showed us their police car and they turned on the siren!

These are some of the things I learnt:

  1. The police have different departments.
  2. We touched the hand cuffs.
  3. We learnt about their uniforms.
  4. We saw their heavy equipment that they carry.
