Christmas Carols

On the evening of December 4, our school community came together for a heart-warming celebration of music and Christmas cheer at the Good Shepherd Christmas Carols. We were truly blessed with perfect weather, as families gathered on the school grounds, enjoying picnics while watching the festive performances.
The evening began with a Piper leading with “Oh Come All Ye Faithful”. This was followed by our own Shannen Wick, serenading us with “This Christmas”, ably accompanied by our guitar teacher, Ash Griffin. The Prep students delighted us with their charming rendition of “All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth” followed by the Year 1s and 2s who sang lively songs about Santa's grand arrival. Our Year 3, 4 and 5 students wowed the audience with their contemporary dances, adding an extra sparkle to the evening. The Year 6s showcased a creative twist on the classic "12 Days of Christmas," rewriting the lyrics to humorously celebrate their teachers. The traditional aspect of the evening was presented by the Senior Band, Jazz Band and Senior Choir. The event concluded with our Piper playing “Jingle Bells”.
Overall, it was a beautiful evening filled with music, laughter, and community spirit. We are so grateful to everyone who made this event possible, and we look forward to many more celebrations of Christmas and togetherness in the years to come.
