Year 6 2024 Reflection poem

The end of Primary School,

We hope everyone has fun.

The start of a new era,

Now sit back, relax and see what we’ve done!

Everything looks so fresh,

Making new friends.

Our new teachers await,

Ready to create bonds that never end. 

We sat down on the quad with a smile on our face,

We were called to get our badges trying not to fall,

We were feeling so nice we felt like we were in space!

School captain, sport captain, house captain- they had it all! 

The year sixes helped their buddies with care,

We made lots of art.

The little ones were as energised as a bear,

The buddies were very smart.

We served the volleyball hard,

And gathered the t-balls fast.

We hit the tennis ball far,

And whacked the cricket ball last!

Using our whiteboards, 

Doing our Daily Review. 

Adding up equations, 

Trying tests that are new. 

Sharing discoveries throughout all the activities, 

A thrilling trip to somewhere unknown.

Giant swing, rock climbing, orienteering and laser tag,

We relish the memories when we get home. 

As homework gets trickier, 

Our brains work harder. 

No time to waste,

I get help from my father. 

Footy colours fly as we cheer each other on, 

Everyone gets to show off their silly socks.

We all dress up as different scientists,

And we do experiments every block. 

We went to Confirmation,

There was lots of information.

We went to prayer,

Where we were treated with lots of care. 

A trip to Brandon Park and our ideas were blooming, 

Working as a team, we each had a stall.

From Nerf guns and hoops to mini golf fun,

Trying to sell our products and get rid of them all. 

Countless students streaming in,

Eager to get their hands on our grand prize.

A million gifts for everyone to indulge,

A candy buffet and game show you must monopolise!

Now we are at the movies, 

About to watch Runt.

The movie was good,

And we all had fun! 

Two teams arguing, 

Negative and affirmative. 

As we prepare our roles, 

We are becoming creative.

Epic basketball shots were made,

Including everyone in the grade.

There were many cheering screams,

For all our amazing teams! 

We munch on our Zooper Doopers,

The parents come around to deliver our food. 

Our sushi was delicious,

We are all in a good mood.

Red, Green, Blue and Gold, 

Everyone is having fun. 

Each team competing, 

In the end, Gold won!

We received exciting new opportunities, 

And achieved ambitious new goals.

Our jackets were signs of responsibility, 

Our badges were a sign of our roles.

Thanks to the teachers who helped us through,

Though we handed in our homework after it was due!

All the memories, good and bad, 

Thinking back just makes us glad! 

Overall, Year 6 was great,

We loved having fun with all our mates! 

We will all miss these days of fun,
